UCC filing
A UCC filing is a public notice a lender records under the Uniform Commercial Code to signal an interest in specific business assets that back a financing arrangement. It lets other parties know that those assets are already pledged. Filings like these are common in secured business financing and are part of how lenders protect a collateralized arrangement. Whether one applies depends on the lender and product; details are confirmed directly with the lender an owner chooses.
